TOURS & EXCURSIONS – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1) Prices
i) Prices do not include fares to / from your accommodation to / from your pick-up / drop off point, drinks, snacks, optional entrance fees (unless specified in the tour details) and personal items.
2) Bookings
i) Advance booking only.
ii) Payment must be made in full at time of booking
iii) A booking is accepted as confirmed when payment for each member of the party is made in full to Traveledex or its recognised and appointed Agents
3)Tickets
i) You need a booking reference number to travel on Traveledex tours.
ii) Where bookings are made by telephoning Traveledex, tickets will only be dispatched where requested as the booking reference will be emailed
iii) Where two or more persons are included on the same ticket or booking reference, the person purchasing the ticket or issued with a booking reference shall be deemed to do so on the basis that they act as an agent for both or all members of the party and accept these booking conditions on behalf of each member of the party.
iv) Tickets are not transferable. They may only be used by the passenger for whom the ticket was bought.
v) Persons under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over who is willing to take responsibility and have a legal Duty of Care for supervision of the child throughout the day.
4) Cancellation of bookings and refunds
i) If you have to cancel your booking you must notify us immediately. In the event of cancellation more than 48 hours prior to due departure, an 18 percent (18%) handling charge (for administration) shall apply unless you reschedule your tour for another day, subject to availability and with the agreement of Traveledex
ii) Cancellation refunds cannot be made within 48 hours of the departure date and time.
iii) We shall not make refunds in any other circumstances. In particular, no refund will be made after the scheduled date or time of departure. Missed departures shall
be treated as cancellations. We cannot be responsible for failure of public transport or traffic delays which may prevent you from taking the tour.
iv) Notice of cancellation is deemed to have been received when it is acknowledged by us, and only in writing.
5)Responsibilities of the passenger
i) Passengers should aim to be at the pick-up point for their tour at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time. We cannot guarantee that your seat will not be given to another passenger if you arrive later than the scheduled departure time and no liability will be accepted in such circumstances.
ii) Passengers must allow plenty of time to return in time to connect with any other form of transport. We do not accept responsibility for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
iii) Passengers must also look after their personal effects at all times whilst at the pick-up point, at the stops and on the transport.
iv) Stops are made during the tour for sightseeing and refreshment. You must return to the transport punctually within the time allowed for those stops. Your transport may have to leave without you if your return is overdue and we shall not be liable for the consequence.
6)Personal luggage and effects
i) Passengers are permitted to carry on the transport one small bag each
ii) Passengers are responsible for their luggage and personal items at all times whilst at the pick-up point, at the stops and on the transport
iii) We will not be liable for loss or damage to luggage or its contents or personal items resulting from carrying or leaving any luggage or personal effects on our transport.
7) Accident or Loss
i) We have no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our employees’ negligence, in which case our liability is limited to a maximum of the refund of the tour cost.
ii) We shall not be liable for any loss, consequential loss, inconvenience or delay arising out of the breakdown or failure of any vehicles or from circumstances beyond our control.
8) Personal Insurance
i) Personal insurance is not included. Passengers are advised to arrange their own personal insurance cover.
9) Nuisances
i) In the interests of all passengers, the following rules apply:
a) Smoking – you are not permitted to smoke whilst on board our transport, but all tours make frequent stops.
b) Alcoholic drinks – you are not allowed to take onto our transport any alcoholic drinks for the purpose of consuming them, nor to drink such drinks on our transport or to remain on the vehicle when in the opinion of the driver you are under the influence of alcoholic drink.
c) Drug and Solvent Abuse – you are not permitted to board or remain on board our transport whilst under the influence of drugs and / or solvents.
ii) Failure to comply with any of the above may result in you being required to leave the transport in the interests of fellow passengers. Should this happen you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation and we shall be under no further obligation or liability to you.
10) Changes to tours and excursions
i) Every care will be exercised in the arrangement of tours. However, we will not be liable for unexpected and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
ii) Changes may be made to tours to respond to unexpected and unforeseen circumstances. Your driver has the right to exercise their discretion on the affect which these may have on the tour and take action accordingly
iii) If we fail for whatever reason within our control to complete a tour, we will provide suitable alternative transport, but our liability shall be limited to the cost of providing transport to the agreed drop off points. We have no liability for any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or direct or consequential loss.
iv) Each tour operates subject to there being sufficient demand. We reserve the right to cancel or alter arrangements up until the departure time of the tour. In this event all monies paid will be refunded.
v) In the event that an advertised place of interest shall be closed every endeavour shall be made to substitute an alternative, but the company reserves the right to cancel or alter arrangements.
vi) The published pick up and drop off times are approximate only. We do not undertake that tours will start or return at the times specified in our brochures and leaflets or on our website. We have no liability for any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or direct or consequential loss caused as a result of the late departure or return of a tour.
11) General conditions
i) No servant or agent of ours can vary our conditions and any such purported variation shall be of no effect unless it has been signed by one of the Directors of Traveledex.
ii) We may at our discretion require any person to withdraw from any tour at any time if we deem their acts offensive or a nuisance to other passengers. Should this happen you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation and we shall be under no further obligation or liability to you.
iii) Any complaint should, in the first instance be communicated the tour guide. Should the matter remain unresolved then passengers must report the matter to Traveledex without delay with confirmation in writing not later than 7 days from the return of the tour.
12) Business Name
The terms and conditions apply to tours arranged by Traveledex which is the trading name of Travel Education Experiences Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under Company No. 12193348
13) Governing Law
i) These conditions shall be governed in all respects by English Law. Any passenger bringing an action against us submits to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.
