Beaulieu Fireworks Display – Saturday 26th October

Get set for an amazing display set to music !

Why do we have a firework display in the Autumn in the UK ? It’s all to do with celebrating Bonfire Night (5th November) which commemorates a man called Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up Parliament ! Want to know more ? Everyone booking for the trip will be given a free sheet explaining about the Gunpowder Plot, telling you about it in English with some language points for you to learn. Here’s a traditional English nursery rhyme (children’s poem) about it:

Remember, remember, the 5th of November
The Gunpowder Treason and plot ;
I know of no reason why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes,
‘Twas his intent.
To blow up the King and the Parliament.
Three score barrels of powder below.
Poor old England to overthrow.
By God’s providence he was catch’d,
With a dark lantern and burning match

Holloa boys, Holloa boys, let the bells ring
Holloa boys, Holloa boys, God save the King!

Hip hip Hoorah !

The firework display is at approximately 7:40pm so there will be plenty of time to see the National Motor Museum. If you wish to enter the house it is recommended to do this just after arrival as this closes early, before the Motor Museum. The Abbey Ruins are also best viewed while it is still daytime.

This year the spectacular fireworks display is set to music from a top-secret playlist based on the theme, Out of this World, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Tour price per person £38.50 each (which includes entry to the grounds for the firework display, entry to the Motor Museum, house and Abbey)

Note: The venue advises that extra charges apply to the fairground entertainment, Monorail and Top Gear Simulator ride when operating. All event details are provisional and subject to change. You are advised to bring cash with you as most rides and food outlets only accept cash. Extra cash facilities will be available (charges apply).
